If you're looking to buy a business in a growing industry, and a platform for passive income, FedEx routes should be on your radar. When you purchase an established FedEx route, you are generally acquiring the rights to deliver in designated areas, as well as the trucks, drivers, and equipment necessary to get the job done. In some cases, the FedEx route business seller may have management personnel in place, making these a truly passive income stream.
Growth potential varies from route to route and business to business, but generally the demand for delivery services continues to grow as commerce move from brick and mortar store to online retailers.
Most FedEx routes listed for sale are the pickup and delivery (P&D) type, which are limited to smaller regions and service residential and commercial end package recipients. Occasionally, linehaul routes may be listed. These are more expensive routes that deliver large volumes between FedEx hubs. Obviously, these require larger, more expensive equipment and more expensive personnel.
