Frequently Asked Questions about BizBuySell's Listing Distribution Center

We are excited to announce that brokers who are members of both websites can now enter their listings on BizBuySell and have that listing appear automatically on their BizQuest account. The first thing you will need to do is become a member of both websites (minimum requirement to export listings from BizBuySell to BizQuest is a basic membership on both websites). From there, it's as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Step 2: Link your BizBuySell and BizQuest accounts

• Select "Networking Tools", then click "Listing Distribution"
• In the Distribution Partners box click the "Manage" link next to the BizQuest logo
• In the red box on the top right corner of the page, click the link that says "BizQuest Login"
• Enter your BizQuest login credentials and click "Verify"

Step 3: Link your existing listings

• Select a listing to work with and click the Manage link. This will display a list of your listings that are on BizQuest.
• Select the radio button for the matching listing on BizQuest
• Click the "Link Listing" button

If you have entered a listing on BizBuySell, but have never entered that listing on BizQuest you can export it as a new listing to BizQuest. It is important to be careful not to duplicate listings that are already on the BizQuest site.

Step 1: Login to your BizBuySell BrokerWorks account at www.bizbuysell.com/brokers/

Step 2: If they are not already linked, link your BizBuySell and BizQuest accounts

• Select "Networking Tools", then click "Listing Distribution"
• In the Distribution Partners box click the "Manage" link next to the BizQuest logo
• In the red box on the top right corner of the page, click the link that says "BizQuest Login"
• Enter your BizQuest login credentials and click "Verify"

Step 3: Enter your new listing and make sure to check the box to "Automatically Distribute" your listing to BizQuest.

No, at this time you can only transfer your listings from BizBuySell to BizQuest (or our other distribution partners). If you have listings on BizQuest that are not currently listed on BizBuySell you must enter those listings on BizBuySell. After entering those listings you can then link them.

To realize the full benefit of this combined network you will need to maintain a separate membership on both BizBuySell and BizQuest.

• BizBuySell and BizQuest will continue to operate independently, thus ensuring we maximize traffic to our broker members and their listings, so it is imperative that you maintain your current broker memberships on both sites.
• Each website attracts a different audience of buyers and by advertising on both websites you will gain maximum exposure for your businesses for sale. An independent analysis by ComScore Media Metrix showed that there is very little overlap in the audiences of BizBuySell.com and BizQuest.com. In fact, when looking at the combined audience of both websites, ComScore Media Metrix reports that 90% of that audience uses one site or the other and only 10% use both.

The only way to receive exposure on both BizBuySell and BizQuest is to post your businesses for sale on both websites.

Yes, BizBuySell is pleased to now offer listing distribution to IBBA.org and MASource.org, as well as our 150+ network distribution partners.

When your listings are linked changes made to your listing on BizBuySell will overwrite changes made to most fields on the BizQuest site. If you wish to edit each listing individually, simply unlink your listings.

Step 1: Login to your BizBuySell BrokerWorks account at www.bizbuysell.com/brokers/

Step 2: Select "Networking Tools" then click "Listing Distribution"

Step 3: Choose a listing to work with and click Manage. Then click the "Unlink Listing" button. Now, any changes made to that listing on BizBuySell will not be changed on BizQuest.

The minimum requirement for transferring your listings from BizBuySell to BizQuest is to have at least a basic membership on both websites. You can join BizQuest at www.bizquest.com/broker/ or by calling 888-280-3815.

In addition to linking your BizBuySell and BizQuest listings, you can also create and push a new listing from BizBuySell to BizQuest. There is a checkbox when creating a new listing on BizBuySell that is by default set to distribute your new listings to BizQuest. If you notice you have a duplicate listing on BizQuest, simply delete the duplicate on Bizquest.

Brokers who are members of both websites can now enter their listings on BizBuySell, and if that listing meets the criteria for MASource.org, that listing will appear automatically on the M&A Source website. The first thing you will need to do is become a member of both websites.

Step 1: Login to your BizBuySell BrokerWorks account at www.bizbuysell.com/brokers/

Step 2: From your BrokerWorks Dashboard select "Networking Tools" then click "Listing Distribution"

• Click the "Manage" link next to the M&A Source logo
• In the red box on the top right corner of the page, click the link that says "M&A Source Login"
• Enter your M&A Source login credentials in the form and click "Verify"
• Upon initial verification of your M&A Source account, all listings will automatically be distributed to MASource.org

If you have already linked your BizBuySell account to your M&A Source membership, your listings will automatically be distributed to MASource.org, if they meet the criteria of M&A Source listings. If they do not meet the M&A source criteria, they will not be distributed.

Step 1: Login to your BizBuySell BrokerWorks account at www.bizbuysell.com/brokers/

Step 2: Enter your BizBuySell listing as you normally would. As you go through the process of entering your listing you will have the opportunity to "Distribute your listing to the M&A Source's website" (make sure you have verified your M&A Source login credentials through the Listing Distribution Center prior to this step)

For your listing to be posted on M&A Source website, the following is required:

• Selling price must be a minimum of $1,000,000
• EBITDA must be equal to at least $400,000

If this listing falls out of the above criteria, yet still meets the requirement below, it may still be posted to the M&A Source website:

• The value of the strategic assets (e.g. patents) will cause the listing price to exceed $1,000,000

Step 2: From your BrokerWorks Dashboard select "Networking Tools" then click "Listing Distribution"

• Click the "Manage" link next to the LinkedIn logo
• Click the "Validate LinkedIn" link and proceed to authorize BizBuySell to access your LinkedIn account
• Upon initial verification of your LinkedIn account, your most recently added listing will automatically be shared on your LinkedIn updates.
• To distribute your other listings check each box under "Share on LinkedIn?" and hit "Submit" at the bottom of the page.

If you have already linked your BizBuySell account to your LinkedIn membership, your listings will automatically be shared on your LinkedIn updates, unless you uncheck the box that says "Yes, automatically share my listing on my LinkedIn updates."

Step 1: Login to your BizBuySell BrokerWorks account at www.bizbuysell.com/brokers/

Step 2: Enter your BizBuySell listing and you normally would. You will notice that under Listing Distribution there is a check next to "Yes, automatically share my listing on my LinkedIn updates". Once you hit "Submit this New Listing" your listing will be shared on your LinkedIn updates.
