About Scooter's Coffee

Training & Support
Operations
The Operations team provides the business coaching that helps franchisees understand how to implement a cost-effective program in their stores. They do this by monitoring the cost of goods and labor, equipment maintenance, and hiring solid managers and personable barista team members. Every franchisee and his or her store manager spends four weeks training in a world-class facility at our headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska.
Training curriculum includes product preparation, personnel development, and store operations. In addition, our training team spends time before, during, and after the opening week in the stores with the manager and barista team. Our goal is to ensure all members of your team feel prepared and ready to serve customers our high-quality drinks to our standards. We truly want them to “be amazing!”
Marketing
Long before a new Scooter’s Coffee location opens, the marketing team is generating buzz about the new store with banners, social media, and concentrated publicity. Once it’s open, strategic and focused grand opening campaigns are implemented and designed to create an instant customer base in the surrounding area.
To drive foot traffic, we use a multi-faceted marketing campaign including tactics like on-site marketing, targeted direct mail programs, and digital campaigns that are designed to bring customers in and make the loyal guests. Campaigns are carefully tied together, utilizing a consistent message.
Control of Franchise Products & Distribution
We knew that becoming a vertically integrated company would only help our franchisees. That’s why we are the proud owners of Harvest Roasting, a company with an excellent reputation for its superior bean quality and roasting methods. Owning Harvest Roasting allows us to leverage the buying power of a 750+ store system while maintaining control over product quality, pricing, and timely/consistent delivery to the stores.
Franchise Support Continues Beyond Opening Week
Franchisees always have access to the Franchise Support Team for ongoing training, questions, and advice. Annual franchise conferences give franchisees and their management teams the opportunity to learn about new programs, sample products, receive training and share information. Our corporate team is consistently communicating with our system, sharing tips and training videos with all of our franchisees. We provide the tools our franchisees need to grow their teams – and eventually expand to owning more stores.
History
Scooter’s Coffee began its very first operation in Bellevue, Nebraska in early 1998 under the original name “Scooter’s Java Express.” Founders Don and Linda Eckles started the first Scooter’s Coffee with a simple philosophy: serve people a quality drink, with fast and friendly service!
True to our original motto, our brand promise of “Amazing People, Amazing Drinks…Amazingly Fast!” is at the core of our brand’s success. In 2001, we had a total of five stores and knew we had something special. We then decided there was no better time to start franchising. Our name and logo changed a couple of times over the years, but in 2011, we changed our name for the last time to Scooter’s Coffee.
Ideal Candidate
Our franchisees must believe in our brand, products, and processes. We’re not looking to sell stores…we’re looking to partner with driven, enthusiastic people who want to build a business together. We require candidates to have a minimum net worth of $500K, with liquid assets of at least $250K. Previous business ownership is not needed, but some leadership background is a must.
Potential franchisees must embrace our brand culture and CORE VALUES. They also need to understand the guidelines and expectations of owning a Scooter’s Coffee franchise... At Scooter’s Coffee, we provide a unique franchising opportunity within the growing coffee industry – and we’re looking for passionate entrepreneurs to grow with us!
