The St Croix Explorer LLC Company is a design, photographic, print publication, and a rack card distribution company. We offer photography, design and marketing services, and produce the annual pub- lication, the St Croix Explorer Map. We create and distribute rack cards for other tourist related businesses and supply clean organized rack space, at various island locations including at the airport and all hotels.
The St Croix Explorer Map is 32 pages, printed 8.5 x 11 inches with a large map in the middle and is folded to 4x9. We print annually 30,000 full color guides on a webpress in Jacksonville Florida. Print- ing occurs in December and the Map is distributed in early January. The St Croix Explorer Map fea- tures a pull out map in the centerfold whose spread is the map of St Croix at 11 x 16 inches with the other side featuring the maps of Christiansted and Frederiksted. We include road numbers and locally named roadways, and icons to help visiotrs navigate the island.
Some helpful visitor features include travellers tips, where’s the beach, what’s going on, a treasure hunt page, island dictionary and St Croix history. These sections of the guide help make our visitor feel like locals. Some of the activities featured are where to eat, things to do, let’s shop, try watersports and getting around. These sections offer activities to explore St Croix. The welcome page is written by the Commissioner of Tourism and we include a weekly and annual calendar of events.
We are also a distribution company. The St Croix Explorer Map is distributed at car rental companies including but not limited to Hertz, Budget, Avis, Centerline, Ace, Olympic, Skyline and by the St Croix Taxi Association. Hotel distribution includes the Best Western, Buccaneer Hotel, Tamarind Reef Hotel, Chenay Bay Resort, Divi Carina Bay, Carambola Resort, Cottages by the Sea, Sand Castles on the Beach and The Fred. The Dept of Tourism distributes to the Cruise Ship Pier and their offices. We also have clients that we charge a monthly fee to distribute their rack cards at these and our other locations.
St Croix-app was created in 2022 and is performing the same services as the printed publication; where to find the best that St Croix has to offer. Search the app by things to do, where to eat and stay, and find accurate locations via the app. The St Croix Explorer App lets you search stores by type of items sold and restaurants by type of food served. Look for events, weekly and monthly, complete the treasure hunt and find a great bar or restaurant. The free download is available in the Apple app store or in Android Google Play.
