We are headquartered in Twin Falls selling our Pocatello area territory only. We will continue to personally operate the Twin Falls Kona Ice business. Potential annual revenue is $100,000 - $125,000 or more (working 7 months per year) per Kona Ice truck also referred to as a KEV (Kona Entertainment Vehicle). If you are running this business as an individual, no employees, home based, no office, no business debt, your potential take home profits could be 50-55% of total revenue. Kona Ice trucks are the cleanest (both outside AND inside) and most fun to look at food trucks around. We pride ourselves on speed of service, with the ability to serve 300 plus cups per hour. One of the reasons we are able to serve as quickly as we do is due to what we call the “Flavorwave”. THE PROCESS:
-the customer tells the Kona Ice server what size cup they want to purchase,
-the Kona Ice Server shaves the ice and hands the cup of ice out the serving window to the customer (just the ice in the cup).
-the customer then takes that cup of shaved ice to the Flavorwave, which is on the outside of the Kona Ice truck and applies the flavoring - as many or as few, as much or as little as the customer wants.
Kona Ice is a seasonal business. In Twin Falls we run our season from approximately the beginning of April through October. During April and May we stay busy at schools with carnivals, field days and school sporting events. In June and July we visit several daycares on a weekly basis and are busy at baseball tournaments and corporate events. Late July into August is fair season. Mid August through October brings additional school events (lunch time visits, after school visits, during the school day visits, etc.). The time of day for Kona Ice visits to schools depends entirely on the Principal, and other key decision makers (PTO, Boosters, AD). Football games and cross country events are also big in the late summer and fall season. There are multiple community events through the warmer months in addition to community sporting events on week nights, often through the local parks and recreation departments. While the KEV involved in this sale is not yet equipped with the proper appliances, Kona Ice now also serves smoothies (see Kona Ice website under "Blended" tab for more information). The Kona Ice community (franchises spread all over the country) is always eager to answer questions and assist. Kona Ice corporate is very responsive. We as the sellers of the Pocatello territory franchise want you to succeed as well. We will be your Kona Ice neighbors in the Magic Valley, still operating two Magic Valley based franchise territories. We have attempted for several years to develop the Pocatello region into everything it has the potential to be and have ultimately concluded that an owner living in or near Pocatello will have the most success in doing this.
