Scott Stricker is a Business Agent at Benchmark Business Group. Scott attended Syracuse University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975 majoring in Political Science and Economics. He received a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Michigan in 1977, and upon completion Scott and his family moved to Des Moines, Iowa, where they have lived since 1977. Scott worked for the City of Des Moines for 9 years as an Urban Planner and led the City’s Economic Development office for 12 years. While at the City he assisted hundreds of small, medium, and large businesses by creatively packaging fixed asset and working capital loan programs for them. Scott also negotiated the acquisition and sale of hundreds of commercial, industrial and residential properties in Des Moines. More recently, Scott worked as a Real Estate Developer for 12 years developing single use retail and industrial buildings, mixed use town center projects with residential, commercial and office uses ranging in size from 32,000-630,000 square feet, townhouses, and single family homes.
