David Downing is a business broker, finance expert, and former founder who brings hands-on experience and analytical insight to every deal. As an Associate at First Choice Business Brokers – Houston Memorial, he supports entrepreneurs through every stage of the buying or selling process.

Before becoming a broker, David co-founded and sold ChipMonk Baking, a health-focused food brand. He previously worked in finance roles at KPMG, Alvarez & Marsal, and Southwest Airlines, and has helped dozens of companies improve performance, structure deals, and scale operations.

David holds a Master’s in Professional Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Rice University. He combines Wall Street-level rigor with real-world experience to help business owners get deals done.
