America’s SBDCs - a Valuable Resource for Small Businesses

We Are Proud to Support America’s SBDC and the 7th Annual #SBDCDay on March 15th, 2023.

As early as the 1970s, Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) have supported and elevated small business owners in local communities throughout the United States and its territories. Nearly 1,000 SBDCs can be found serving clients virtually and from their centers in host institutions, such as Universities and local Chamber of Commerce offices.

We’d like to recognize the lasting impact SBDCs have made through their efforts over the years, whether through serving rural America, offering solutions in fintech, or helping a millennial woman-owned business to grow and expand, SBDCs are on the front lines assisting their clients. We encourage you to view America’s SBDC Annual Report, which offers valuable information on how hundreds of small businesses thrive with the help of their local SBDC.

According to a recent Chrisman Survey, which includes data from SBDC clients in 2020-2021, America’s SBDCs provide measurable economic results. Nationwide, SBDCs helped generate 85,094 jobs, $10.1 billion in sales growth, and $7.7 billion in capital investments. It also started 14,487 new businesses, proving that SBDCs are leaders in job creation and economic development.

SBDC Day is a national movement to help share the small business success stories and notable impact SBDCs have fostered nationwide. As an SBDC Ambassador, today we like to honor America’s SBDCs and recognize their achievements and impact on the success of small businesses across America.

“Through adversity, we strengthen and grow, and nothing could be truer for the SBDC network and its thousands of clients this past year,” said Charles “Tee” Rowe, President & CEO of America’s SBDC. “This SBDC Day, we are celebrating the SBDC network’s reimagined approach to doing business and its direct positive impact on Main Streets all across America.”
