He attended Michigan State University, majoring in Business Administration. Randy has had experience as a builder of homes and has managed several extensive remodeling projects. Randy and Carol Dye work together and have been in business continuously for many years. Randy's EXTENSIVE BUSINESS EXPERIENCE includes: Howard Johnson Restaurant in 1964. Assistant Manager in Lansing and Kalamazoo 1970 - Randy and Carol, purchased Sail Inn Restaurant in downtown Beulah. 1974 - Designed and built the 10,000 Sq Ft Sail Inn Restaurant on US31 in Benzonia. Featured dining, Lounge, Gift Shop, Banquets. Total of 40 years in the Hospitality Industry, owning and operating four successful restaurants … The Wharfside, The Main Sail, The Brookside and of course, The Sail Inn Restaurant. 2003 - Joined Coldwell Banker after selling the Sail Inn. Surpassed 4 million in sales first year. 2007 thru present - RE/MAX Bayshore Properties, Associate Broker and Manager of the Benzie County Office located in Frankfort. Involved in our local community - as President of Traverse Area Association of Realtors, 2012-13. Member Manistee - Oceana - Mason Board of Realtors, Benzie County Chamber of Commerce, Frankfort-Elberta Chamber of Commerce, Crystal Downs from 1986 to 2005, Past President, Chamber of Commerce President
