Sertinos and Sertinos Café locations take the traditional idea of a gourmet coffee shop and add a unique twist with a combination of handmade deli menu items, goods baked in house and premium ice cream. Visitors are entranced by the wonderful aromas of organic whole-bean coffee from places such as Ethiopia, Panama, Sumatra and Peru. Those in search of quiet relaxation can opt for imported loose-leaf teas and other popular café items such as iced mocha and caramel macchiato that are made from the brand’s renowned single-origin beans.

Besides picking up a cup of designer coffee and panini on the way to work, customers can choose to lounge in the café’s comfy chairs or hang out with friends over an espresso milkshake. Busy parents can grab toasted subs for supper, and there are numerous breakfast and lunch options as well, all made to order with natural ingredients.

History

The company that would eventually become the Sertinos brand started off in July of 1986 as All American Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Shops. It featured premium ice cream made with butterfat and tasty non-fat frozen yogurt. Then the ice cream shops began to offer made-from-scratch cookies, fresh fruit smoothies and other chilled beverages that went beyond frozen treats.

Twenty years later, in 2006, All American Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt decided to diversify, opening the first gourmet coffee and tea shop under the Sertinos name. It didn’t take long for this flagship coffee shop to turn into a social hub where college students and community members could take a moment to breathe and hang out with friends.

Today, the headquarters of Sertinos is located in Portland, Oregon, but ironically the brand’s largest following is centered around its first official location in Beaumont, Texas. In a little over 10 years, this premier coffee shop has grown into 16 Sertinos kiosks and Sertinos Cafés along the West Coast and throughout Texas, with a desire to eventually grow from Hawaii to Maine.

Training And Support

Sertinos offers franchisees five days of classroom instruction at corporate headquarters, along with two weeks of hands-on training for all employees on location.
