Juniper Grill was founded with the principle that less is more while still offering an upscale casual dining experience. We utilize a small box restaurant space to limit management needs, staffing levels, overhead costs, etc... The menu itself, although all local and fresh ingredients, was also designed with efficiency in mind.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should possess the follow skill sets and attributes
- 10+ years experience in full service restaurant operations
- Experience in elevated dinning including upscale casual or fine dinning preferred
- Candidate must be directly involved in daily operations
- Operator should reside in community in the general proximity of restaurant
- Preferred candidate must have liquid assets totaling ($$$ See FDD) per location
- Experience operating a scratch kitchen utilizing fresh product is ideal.
- An understanding of mixology and craft cocktails is preferred
- Must have the ability to manage elevated wine program
- Ideal candidate should be passionate about employee development and ongoing training programs
- An intimate understanding of social media marketing is encouraged
- A passion for community and charitable involvement is preferred
History
Reflecting upon past experiences, frustrations and hard-won successes as multi-brand and multi-unit restaurant operators, our founders knew there was a better way to create, operate and develop a restaurant concept. They conceived an entirely different kind of upscale casual, American restaurant –– one that was more simple to run, more efficient and yet offered the highest quality product throughout an attractive and distinctive menu. Countless hours were spent, creating a unique menu focusing on fresh, local ingredients that are utilized in multiple dishes. Fresh truly became the focus.
With less dependency on frozen deliveries, this also eliminated back of house space and expense – both initially in the build out and operationally in ongoing overhead costs. This offered the opportunity to expand the front of house, bar and dining space to create a variety of cozy and upscale consumer centric areas in the restaurant. What was created was a brand image with an atmosphere that our guests could visit for lunch, dinner and special events for any occasion, holiday or celebration all year long.
The first Juniper Grill opened in 2010 in Peters Twp, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Training And Support
Juniper Grill Enterprises will fully support our franchisees in all aspects of daily operations, initial training, ongoing training, marketing, and conceptual development. We have an outstanding team of hospitality professionals with a substantial track record of success. The Juniper Grill brand has been in operation for nearly 10 years with three Pittsburgh based locations. This tangible experience along with a tenured senior management team will provide the support neccessary to tackle any obstacle our franchisees may encounter. Our initial training in Pittsburgh will include our V.O.P. cultural training that is instrumental in Juniper Grill's success. Our talented training team will help instill our standards in a fun and energetic way during preopening in your city of choice. Marketing support including social media and L.S.M. best practices will be provided on an ongoing basis to our franchisees.
