  • History: Ice Cream Emergency was started as a mobile ice cream parlor concept to meet the lifelong dream of Debra Arrato, CEO and Chief Scoopologist, who always wanted to own her own ice cream shop. With so much competition with regional brick and mortar shops, along with a huge startup investment cost, and the current food truck craze, she decided to go the mobile route, but with a twist. Ice Cream Emergency is themed as a full-service ice cream parlor disguised as a whimsical rescue vehicle. The guests actually board the Bus and are served inside the fully appointed ice cream parlor on wheels. Everything is rescue themed, from the "Scoopologists" wearing bright red hospital scrubs and "stethoscoops", to the tag line, "Saving Lives, One Scoop At A Time!" It's an interactive ice cream experience.

Training And Support

Our 3 day “ICE Institute” Training program includes every aspect of the business to prepare our new franchisee for success. This includes back office, front line, marketing, customer service, event training, and all areas of the business. We travel to the franchisee’s location to assist with their marketing and grand opening. We schedule weekly calls (or more) for the first several months and as long as desired. We review monthly sales/activity reports and discuss in detail monthly with the franchisee. And we pride ourselves on always being available to assist in any way we can through their entire business with ICE.
