History

In the late 1950s, Mr. Frank Oddo was working for his father in the family’s grocery store, where they struggled to find reliable cleaners in the evenings. That pain point drove Mr. Oddo to do something about it – which ultimately led to the birth of City Wide Maintenance in 1961.

In 1996, Mr. Oddo’s second son, Jeff, took over as the active president and continues that role today. Jeff is credited with redirecting the company onto a path that would come to set City Wide apart in the building maintenance world. With a desire to help others, Jeff identified a way to replicate the model and City Wide began franchising 2001, and now has over 55 locations across the U.S. In 2018, they have also opened up Canadian markets for sale.

Training And Support

  • City Wide offers an onboarding plan that includes online training and coaching in preparation for in-person training.
  • Two weeks of intense classroom and hands-on training are held in Kansas City.
  • As you grow your business, City Wide will provide ongoing support in all aspects of business development:
  • Sales: Regular on-site support visits, sales training support, bid assistance, large account sales assistance, national accounts, and marketing materials.
