Overview

Blackjack Pizza is an established company serving great tasting pizza made from only the freshest ingredients. Operating in five states and continuing its strategic growth, it now has 42 stores.

Blackjack Pizza prioritizes customer service and quality pizza, salads, sandwiches and other great meals at affordable prices. Commitment to quality sets them apart from their competitors. They focus primarily on delivery and pickup.

The organization’s leaders have experience in the industry and have a passion they share with each new owner, at buy-in, for the initial training and throughout the entire process.

Why Choose Us?

Blackjack Pizza is a great choice for a franchise because it offers the opportunity for people to build a future at a lower buy-in than many of its competitors. Franchise owners receive comprehensive support and thorough training to operate their franchise effectively. Participating in Blackjack’s marketing and promotions helps franchise owners leverage their market to quickly acquire customers, and through the use of their coupons and loyalty programs, keep them. These Blackjack Pizza loyalty programs assist owners with building return customers, which lead to recurring sales and higher profits along with an improved reputation.

Blackjack Pizza extends itself to supporting the operations of the franchise by training franchise employees as well, and focusing on owner reputation and service excellence so all franchise owners succeed as a businessperson and individual. Blackjack controls its growth strategically and works with their franchise owners to select the right location for expansion. Blackjack Pizza helps owners achieve profitability by combining the best in food, dining and operations.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidates for Blackjack Pizza are people who love pizza, the food and beverage business, have a desire to grow a future and who want a long-term reliable source of income. Creativity is encouraged in both product and services.

The right candidates want to be part of a multi-billion regional organization and have the desire to deliver awesome customer service. They are strong leaders and have a passion to excel at their work. Any past restaurant experience is a bonus. Good math skills, organization skills and the ability to communicate with employees and customers are also preferred.

History

In 1983, Blackjack Pizza was founded as an alternative to the only other pizza restaurant in Colorado. In less than a year, a second location was opened by Vince Schmuhl. Adding even more stores over the next few years around Colorado, demand continued to grow. In 1988, Blackjack Pizza sold several of their corporate stores and started franchising. The next step included converting several independent operators to franchises. Their goal was to grow the business by adding franchise locations in slow, controlled growth. They have expanded into several other states growing to 42 current locations in 5 states, including Florida.

Acquired by Askar Brands in 2013, the organization has extensive experience in the pizza business, both in the recipes and the back house.

Today, Blackjack Pizza continues to enjoy serving quality pizza, salads and sandwiches to people of all ages.
