In 1991, at the request of Senator John Glenn, I led a volunteer task force to recommend Federal energy goals and training provisions, which were included in the Energy Policy Act of 1992. In 1993, the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) honored me with an International Special Recognition Award for my work on the passage of the legislation. 08/88 to 01/92
Lobbied the United States Congress improve Energy Efficiency legislation to change federal and commercial clients, and general energy law which resulted in getting 33 pages of Federal Energy Management Legislation into the Energy Policy Act of 1992. Worked with Senator John Glenn and his staff to draft the Federal Energy Efficiency Act of 1991. Worked with Congressman Denise Eckert, Congressman Philip Sharp and Congress John Conyers Chairman of the U.S. House and U.S. Senate Conference Committee to get the Federal Energy Efficiency Legislation included in the Energy Policy Act of 1992.

Key Results:

? Call on U.S. Congressman and U.S. Senators to convince them that the energy policy we were advocating was a good idea to the government and the country
? The entire 33 pages of the Federal Energy Efficiency Act of 1991 was included in the Federal Energy Portion of the Energy Policy Act of 1992 - Public Law 102-486
