These routes are close to the station and a quick drive up the Beeline Highway (SR 87), which saves on fuel and wear-and-tear on your vehicles. The trucks are domiciled overnight at the Tempe FedEx station at 1666 N McClintock Dr, Tempe 85281. FedEx employees load and unload the Ground trucks each day, while the Home Delivery drivers load their own vehicles. This is a simple, straight forward business that is great for a first-time business owner! It is not required that the new owner be a driver and experienced drivers are willing to stay with their routes after the sale. If you prefer, drive one of the routes yourself and pay yourself a great salary, or have the drivers operate the routes and you manage the business. Effective October 2019, it will be required that all contractors wishing to do business with FedEx must service at least 500 stops a day. In addition, all contractors must own the overlapping Ground and Home Delivery areas by the transition date or risk losing their routes. This package of routes includes three busy PSA’s, with three supplemental routes that service 648 stops a day and are overlapping. Therefore, these routes already meet the new threshold requirements for 2019. We have had lots of requests for information from potential buyers that want to remain 100% absentee. FedEx initially likes to have some involvement from their owners/contractors. This can be in person or by proxy in the form of a “Business Contact” or manager. Current net income excludes manager's payroll and assumes owner will operate the day-to-day. Financing FedEx Routes: Conventional and SBA financing usually requires at least three year’s financial records in order for approval. These routes have been owned by the contractor since October 2015 and settlement statements prior to that are not available. Settlement statements from October 2015 showing exact earnings, maintenance records, payroll records, etc. will be available during due diligence, but other financial statements like tax returns and P&L’s will not be available because the current owner has owned up to twenty routes at a time, and any financial reporting would not be relevant to the specific routes being sold.
