Business Description

Nationally Franchised Children’s re-sale store for sale. Once Upon a Child Avondale was recently re-located from about a mile away in Goodyear. The new location is a high traffic high visibility area directly across from a busy Wal-Mart. This store has been a destination for sellers and buyers in the area for almost ten years. We have thousands of regular customers and acquire new customers daily. Some of our regular customers drive several miles to sell or shop at our store. Once Upon a Child is a nationally recognized chain of over 300 stores in the US and Canada. This store is completely updated to brand standards and a POS system that is less than a year old.

This location is located in a Fry’s grocery shopping center and directly across from a busy Wal-Mart. Additionally, the road Rancho Santa Fe Blvd that runs directly in front of the building is heavily traveled. The space is leased with parking directly in front of the store and additional parking in the rear of the store. The space is in very good condition. HVAC works well this past summer with temperatures reaching 115.
In our current location there is very little competition. Kid to kid is 17 miles away and 12 miles away from Once Upon a Child in Surprise. Our concentration currently is on clothing, shoes, toys and quality equipment.
Growth & Expansion:
The current email list has over 15,000 customers, text list has 3000 customers, the store customer list has over 50,0000 total customers that have visited our store. The Phoenix Once Upon a Child has a co-operative advertising group. We currently do not have a participating campaign. We feel this could help boost customer traffic. We recently started a store Facebook page to increase customer participation. The digital footprint is very important. This is one area that could be improved. Increasing social media will increase local customer awareness of the store. Local store marketing would also increase customer traffic.
Support & Training:
Training provided and required by franchisor upon transfer. On-going support in advertising, merchandising, financial and inventory management, social media training and more provided by franchisor through field visits, regional meetings and national franchisee conferences.
