Business Description

Lots of potential for someone with capital or the right skillset

Mindyana has been open since 2015 and primarily sells Buddhist/Hindu prayer beads called malas (used for meditation), which have been quite fashionable in recent years among the wellness and yoga crowd in the West. We are a dropshipping site, though we do have a small amount of inventory. We've been moving back to 100% dropshipping in order to simplify the management of the store, though you may wish to move in the other direction (this is one possible area of improvement).

IMPORTANT: After June 3rd the business (to the extent an online business like this has a physical presence) will be moving to the Orlando, Florida area. My business partner is moving and as we ship out of his home, our small quantity of inventory will be moving with him.

My business partner and I were not the ones who started this business, but rather bought it in August 2017. The financials featured in this listing are our performance from May 2018 to April 2019, but they don't tell the full story. The previous owner's average monthly cash flow was about $7k through good use of Facebook Ads, and we just don't have the same marketing abilities. We also had much less capital to spend on advertising--we were definitely under-spending in this area.

Here's a summary of the financials before and after the sale:

Original owner average monthly revenue (Aug 2015-May 2017): $34,726
Original owner average monthly cash flow (Aug 2015-May2017): $6,964

Our average monthly revenue (Aug 2017-April 2019): $4,404
Our average monthly cash flow (Aug 2017-April 2019): $352

I have included a video that goes through the revenue in Shopify and our more recent advertising expenses. P&L available upon request. I'm also happy to provide interested buyers view access to Google Analytics or other platforms. There is definitely potential to cut costs. Also, with an increase in sales, overhead will not necessarily increase dramatically, and I believe overall profit margin will increase. Profit margin on COGS is about 60%-65%.

The two existing staff members are both part-time, and one person could do both their jobs. They help with fulfillment and while they will likely not stay on, they should be simple to replace.

We also have a second website, Kama Mala, which is in the same niche with different positioning and branding. It has a smaller customer base and is less profitable, but appeals to different customers and has higher-priced products. Owning this second website has given us a deeper understanding of the market, and again, we believe it has potential in the right hands.

We currently have about $1000 in inventory. Inventory value is for items held at the time of listing creation and is not guaranteed, unless we discuss otherwise. Digital assets include the website, logo, photos (most of our photos come from suppliers but we have some originals), 13k email list along with customer data in Klaviyo, social media accounts (Facebook page has 58k fans), and the Google Ads account (for which keywords have been fine-tuned over the 2 years we've owned the business). (Home Based)
Growth & Expansion:
Lots of opportunity for someone with strong marketing skills or who can put together a good team. The biggest asset is the email list: 13k subscribers, plus 15k who have unsubscribed but who could still be targeted using Facebook Ads or other remarketing. Email list has been cleaned twice in the past year, so non-openers have been removed. Not enough space to go into all the opportunities, but others include: -Restarting Facebook Ads, which were a major factor in the original success of the business. -Buying more inventory and decreasing shipping tim
Support & Training:
I will provide up to 6 hours total of orientation calls within 30 days after the sale, to share my knowledge of the day-to-day management of the site, what I've learned, and to answer your questions.
Reason for Selling:
Biz partner & I don't have marketing skills or time to meet our goals for site
