ABOUT ONCE UPON A CHILD
Once Upon A Child, North America’s #1 children’s resale retailer, is the solution for parents looking for high quality gently used children’s apparel, toys, shoes, baby equipment and accessories at affordable, family-friendly prices.

Parents know just how fast children grow; what fits one day seems to be entirely too small the next. That's where we come in to help, to not only get your children into clothes that fit but also to find age-appropriate toys, books, furniture, and equipment. The best part? We offer these things at prices up to 70% off of retail. How? We buy and sell gently used kids' stuff - all seasons, every day! We pay on the spot for items accepted.

Facilities:
Located in a "B" Plaza, there are some empty spaces but there's a thriving LA Fitness, Bell's Factory Outlet, and a Guitar Super Center in the plaza. The rent is really good for the area. The point of sale systems and server are up to date as well as the flooring. This store is clean and very well organized.
Competition:
The pros of the market are that the Orange Park is a highly residential area with lots of families. Clay County is a draw for families because the excellent school district. We are situated near Oakleaf Plantation, a huge development with its own schools and town center for shopping. We are right next to Collins Road which is experiencing huge growth, with a new Walmart, Costco, new neighborhoods, etc. One con we're experiencing is theft. To counter the issue we recently upgraded our security system. A new owner active in the day to day operations would also help tremendously. There are 3 other Once Upon a Child stores in the area which helps with brand recognition. The new owner should strive to provide the best customer service, and present a well organized and clean store with great inventory. There is a small business called Moon Babies in Fleming Island, and a Kid to Kid in Mandarin that are competitors.
Growth & Expansion:
Here is where a great opportunity exists: since the current owner has not been involved in the business the last few years they have not been managing expenses to the best of their ability. The business profits include several owner benefits that should be calculated. In addition the space next door is currently vacant and available for lease. It would be easy to expand physically into this space is so desired. With more time and attention placed on the business operations this location has exponential potential!
Support & Training:
Training is provided and required by the franchisor upon transfer. On-going support in advertising, merchandising, financial and inventory management, social media training and more are provided by franchisor through field visits, regional meetings and national franchisee conferences. Franchisor may require an additional investment in working capital and store upgrades.
Reason for Selling:
Too many commitments- moving on
Franchise:
This business is an established franchise
