So many have called me and asked for sales figures for the past year. My ad clearly states I have no such numbers because I have benn leasing the property for the past 14 years. Therefore I am really just giving away for free the business. I am just selling a piece of commercial real estate directly across from 7 large refineries which happen to have a profitable business presently on it. Why in the world would you pay big money for a bar and never own the property? Buy this bar, build it up to what you want it to be and you never have to worry about a landlord raising your lease because he knows you are doing well.

The property is presently leased on a month to month basis. You will not be buying a property you need worry about a tenant. A new owner can have it vacant within 30-45 days. I bought the bar and property in 1997. From 1997 to 2001 I was the number 1 beer retailer in Galveston County, I was moving 400 to 700 cases of beer each week. I sold more beer then the dog track on the freeway. I was a young man, had a great time and truly needed a wheel-barrel to get all my money out of the place I earned for the first 4 years. 9/11 came in 2001 and I found myself off to Iraq in early 2003. I have had the place leased since 2003. My present tenant is a super lady and has been a wonderful tenant but my wife and I wish to pursue other goals in our live so we have decided to sell the whole thing. I have not sold a cold beer, shot of whiskey or burger basket out of the place in 14 years so I have no figures or details as too how well my tenant is doing. I can just tell you she pays me on time from her bar receipts and wants to buy the place and is trying to get the financing together(she has first shot at the apple). I recently had the property professionally appraised so the price is not an arbitrary number I pulled from my backside. I would love to see somebody buy it which has the time and energy I had back in the '90s to bring the property to it full potential and put some money in their pocket. 11 Sep 17 - I had a gentleman from Houston during the storm Harvey negotiate the price down to $395,000 and now he tells me he can not get the funding. I have decided to honor that price for anybody else.

Growth & Expansion:
There are 7 refineries and/or chemical plants along Texas Ave. There is an endless stream of traffic passing the Bar all day and night. When I ran the place I shamelessly catered to the plant workers and they rewarded me with stacks of 100 dollar bills. You could make a killing just selling breakfast burritos and lunch from this location. When I ran the place, 4 to 6 months out of each years was considered "turn-around season". That is when I truly made a killing.
