We are a growing vehicle repair shop in NW Harris County with a consistent backlog of work, excellent reputation, and great customer retention all of this with minimal advertising.

Our best form of advertising is word of mouth, our customers fuel our growth. We spend a few hundred dollars a month on google adwords and that's it.

Our competition in the greater Houston area is limited to maybe 4 to 5 other businesses and in this business reputation is everything.

We have been in business at this location since 2013 and have been in the industry since 2007. When you review our information you will see our sales match our bank account to the penny as does our owner ad backs and discretionary earnings.

We typically keep 4 to 5 technicians, my manager, and me as staff. We run lean, pay our employees well and maintain good gross margins. Now, the most important point in this summary, you cannot run this business as an absentee owner and expect the best results. That is true with any business and brokers that tell you otherwise are just trying to sell a mediocre business. If you are motivated to succeed and have a good work ethic this is the business for you.

A typical repair shop will draw customers from a 1 to 2 mile radius around the shop. Our customers come from all over the Houston area, from Atascocita to Richmond/Rosenberg, Bellaire, and Katy.

I own the real estate, and yes it is available for purchase. Included in the purchase price is all furniture, fixtures, and equipment as well as inventory and work-in-progress. Inventory fluctuates between $40,000 and $80,000 and FFE includes a forklift and 2011 Chevy k3500 pickup as well as normal shop equipment, and, our work in progress on any given month that ranges between $65,000 and $130,000.

A good percentage of our business comes from extended warranty and insurance. We have an excellent reputation with all of the major insurance companies and are on a number of their preferred vendor lists and it's the same with the extended warranty companies. Rarely are inspectors sent out to review our estimates.

I and my manager are willing to stay for a substantial period of time. My manager will sign an employment agreement for 1 year at his current compensation and since I will still own the land, I have a vested interest in insuring the business continues its track record.

The shop is approximately 8500 sq ft on a 33,000 sq ft lot. We have all the specialty equipment we need and keep it in good condition. The best way to evaluate the equipment is to come see the operations and judge it for yourself.
Competition:
As I mentioned above there are 4 to 5 competent competitors in Houston and there is more business than we as a group can handle. Customers seek us out. If you have to spend a lot on advertising in this industry then you aren't very good.
Growth & Expansion:
Growth is limited by the size of the facility. Revenue can grow by becoming more efficient; however, this is probably limited to 15% unless you expand the facility. This is truly the only con. The pros are we have a loyal customer following, our customers want their vehicles in top running condition and as long as you give them great service for a fair price they are more interested in the quality of the repair than saving the last dollar with a cheaper shop.

My manager will sign an one year employment agreement at his current compensation. I will train you for 3 months full time for no compensation, part time for the next 3 months and am willing to consult on an "as needed" basis from then on.
