Scalable SaaS (software as a service) internet business with recurring, paying customers. Minimal time and maintenance input required now that the software platform is fully built. Product is directed towards home furnishings and interior design industry.

The heart of the SaaS product is a project management system that anchors interior design firms via every day use running their projects (commercial and residential). The platform also can host home furnishing suppliers and contractors so they can link with their customers (interior designer firms) to list and facilitate the purchase of products and services.

This platform also offers granular data on industry purchasing and trends.

The platform has succeeded at
• mapping key business processes for interior design firms
• proving stickiness of project management platform in every day use
• shown SaaS pricing model (monthly fees) as acceptable to customers
• being able to host and link all stakeholders in home furnishing/services industry

The platform goes from Supplier>Interior Designer>Client: all this happens in the same app and can be monetized in several different ways. The first and already live revenue model is a per-user monthly fee.

Additional revenue option: larger revenue potential is the ability to do marketplace (already built) product sales from suppliers to their interior design customers directly in the app and take a percentage of the sale (this would require some custom programming though the architecture is there).

Additional revenue option: The app has had approx. $100 million in sales to clients go through it with just the beta users. Offering in-app payment processing is another solid revenue source.

There are three different portals on the platform: 1) interior design firm 2) home furnishings and contractors 3) interior design client.

The business has just finished the 'startup' phase of developing a full cloud-based internet app with recurring monthly revenue as a proof of concept. The business is currently small but also extremely scalable.

There are well over 35,000 interior design firms just in the U.S. (we have clients in the UK and AUS as well) and they control over 77bn/year in purchasing directly from suppliers/builders. It’s not really a niche market- it’s a very large one and the software platform is tailored to it.

I have intensely focused the last 3 years on building the software platform itself and have been highly responsive to customer's feedback and needs. This is a proven, real world product. During this time I have done very little marketing and relied almost exclusively on SEO for new clients. All resources have gone into development.

The app is built on Caspio Cloud platform (it’s like SalesForce’s Force.com platform) and is very easy to maintain and transfer ownership of. There is no need to maintain a server or backend database (this is low cost- no need for a database/server administrator). The Caspio platform can also be used via API to create a completely custom UI and syncs to outside apps like QB/Xero. As well, the existing database architecture and business processes can be used as a template if creating a native application is desired.

There are about 60 interior design firms on the cloud app with over 110 users (each user pays a monthly fee). The valuation is based on the SaaS business valuation of net yearly income x 7-10 (the standard equation for SaaS businesses). The business takes about 5 hours a week (if that, depends on questions from potential customers or occasional support tickets) time to maintain.

I am willing and able to provide training included with the sale as well as longer term work if desired (both contingent on terms of sale and contracting).

Competition:
There are a number of interior design project management apps out there but no one controls or dominates the market and no one does it all under one umbrella (suppliers/contractors and PM and Client Portal). The main competitors: Studio Designer and Design Manager: they have inbuilt accounting (most people don’t actually want this in practice and would rather sync to QBO or Xero). As well, there is IvyMark which just sold to Houzz.com. None of these competitors does it all like our platform.
Growth & Expansion:
Very scalable. Needs marketing- something I've never done. Very low cost to acquire new customers (I've relied on SEO) via social media marketing.
Support & Training:
My support for transitioning ownership of the app can be contracted with the sale.
