The updates, upgrades and new builds are almost innumerable to list. Since owning our property we have nearly replaced the entire infrastructure of every cabin from electrical, plumbing and interior from top to bottom. We have replaced all windows and doors and dry-walled every structure. We have also completely remodeled the residence inside and out.

We have built a new 30x60 building which we now rent as C101 and use as our game room but could easily be converted back into a second residence. This is a very nice structure including tiled floor and crystal chandelier.

We have cleared much of the land from a forest to a park-like setting and obtained additional frontage road property from the National Park Service.

We have doubled the size of the pool area and built a Kiddy Pool with a palm tree rain maker and built a new playground for the kids. We have also put in a new basketball court. In addition we have two of the most photographed attractions on the lake, a giant catfish and a giant bluegill.

We have converted 15 mobile home sites (near completion) into full-hookup RV sites, keeping several for mobile Homes.

Our property is located on the only road to this side of the lake and in between the two busiest campgrounds at the lake. We have the most spacious, finest cabins available anywhere around and a customer base second to none. We boast of over one million visitors annually to the lake area and outside the lake area we have many other tourist activities. Johnson Shut in and Elephant State Parks are nearby as well as Big Springs are just a few. We are just 2 hours south of St. Louis and our lake is considered the jewel of southeast Missouri. Our property is surrounded on three sides by Mark Twain National Forest and have nearby the highest elevation in Missouri. Our property like the forest abounds with nature. We ourselves are a family resort with many repeat customers based on Christian principles. The lake itself supports many workers that come in annually to work on projects at the dam which is another added value for our business. We love the different nature from Eagles to Bluebirds and the fishing is great. We often getaway and trout fish in Arkansas and Bass fish below the dam in the fall.
