Managing partners start at their locations at 6 AM every day. They will go through the previous days financial and operating results and develop plans for the upcoming day, on either improving the previous days results or beating the previous days successful results. You will check your equipment, chemicals and inventory through extensive checklists that we have developed over the last 50 years. About 15 minutes prior to opening which is always a few minutes before were stated opening time is you will hold an associate meeting.
Growth & Expansion:
Over the years we have developed many managing partners. All of our managing partners today earn upwards and well over $100,000 per year. Some of our managing partners earn over $200,000 per year. Our goal is by 2019 is to have our first managing partner earning over $500,000 per year. We are looking for the right person not the wrong person with money. All of our managing partners start their first location with no investment. Down the road if you’d like to own multiple operations and have more of an ownership percentage you will need to make cash investments at the opening of new locations. We would not ask you to do this until you are fully comfortable and in our system long enough to understand the true financial gains of the business.
Support & Training:
During this meeting you will go through any outstanding issues from the previous day that need to be managed. Then you will go over today’s goals. Another part of the meeting is to focus our associates on what the goals of the company are so that were focused throughout the day on achieving our stated goals, (this is to refocus everyone after being away for a while.. Once you open you will be part of the crew. All of our managers work hands-on every day washing cleaning and taking care of customers and their cars. Throughout the day you will train associates, go through checklists, have meetings with vendors and customers in order to improve the operation of your company. You will manage the sales process to achieve budgeted goals. They manage labor thru scheduling daily responses to demand. Sales and labor are the two levers that can dramatically change the profitability of the carwash throughout any given day. You will deal with hiring and recruiting you will deal with financial paperwork some scheduling of labor, you will be responsible for managing facility plant and maintenance following up on other associates checklists .Towards the end of the day you’ll set your associates up so that when you leave they can continue the great operations that you’ve done so far that day. We expect our managers to work five days a week and take vacations throughout the year. We also have very very high expectations and what we expect from all of our associates. This is what allows us to reach the success that we do. We expect 100% percent engagement when you are at the business managing. Operating a carwash is not an easy job and not one that is taken lightly. I always like to say it’s like going to boot camp and never graduating. However the rewards of personal satisfaction from running a great business, and the financial rewards are well worth all of the effort put forth.
