Business Description

Exceptionally Strong Customer Base and Double Your Money in 12-Months

We pride ourselves in being the only rental agency open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which along makes us stand alone different. Next, we accept cash whereas most rental agencies will not and require a major credit or debit card. Three of our staff members actually live at the office.

We don't try to compete with Home Depot's rental department, we let them rent the chainsaws, pressure washers and chain saws. Our rental menu is very limited. Our niche market is a non-commercial dump truck that a single soccer mom of three could operate, an equipment trailer and a piece of compact construction equipment like an excavator or a skid steer Bobcat loader.

There are three separate companies that function as one in this endeavor but are separate for marketing purposes. There an equipment themed one (, a truck rental one ( and a seasonal boat/jet ski one (,. The businesses share the same everything, same office, same staff, same ownership. This purchase would include all three entities for the one price. The entire business could be purchased for about half a million, or it is possible to buy a smaller incremental portion of the operation if you want.

We don't have to necessarily sell off the entire business we are open to some other innovative options you might find interesting. Another option rather than an all out purchase would be to let us show you how to participate on a more limited basis in our Tacoma location or let us show you how to open up your own location in an area where construction and commerce is brisk. We would cooperate and work together to fill orders for our rental equipment. We favor a location northeast such as in the Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond area just because we already know that these areas are red hot for this type of business from previous experience. The peninsula and also the Olympia area are great locations too.

Limited participation out of our existing Tacoma location allows you to purchase just a couple pieces of equipment we rent (for example) and take 50% of every sale for yourself. In this way you get to check out this type of business if you're not already familiar with this industry before jumping in completely. What's neat about this concept is it lets you try things out without a direct company investment. In the limited investment method the asset belongs to you and we act merely as a leasing agent for you. If for some reason things don't work out, you simply sell off whatever you buy for close to what you paid for it this never actually being exposed to a loss.

In this way, you get to make 50% of every invoice without starting, funding and staffing your very own rental company, and we get to make 50% of every sale on something you buy and not us. It's a win/win for both of us. If you consider that Costco functions on 6% of every sale (and makes it work because of volume), you making 50% of every sales invoice without paying a lick of overhead is a pretty amazing thing. We're not interested in the traditional partnership, especially after just getting out of a bitter break up one. We're not selling a franchise in the conventional sense.

If you were to buy a used 16' Chevrolet Low Pro Kodiak dump truck for let's say $25K, we already know you'll earn about $25K in one year on this asset. (The asset will actually earn about $50K, of which we are also making $25K for ourselves.) Should you chose this option, we do most all the maintenance ourselves and we agree to pay for 50% of the cost of maintenance. We provide the insurance thru our commercial carrier and also pay for half of that. We install Lojack GPS satellite tracking and pay half of the $20/month tracking fee.

We rent our current office and shop space but have options on renting additional space at our current spot if we need it, and we have scouted out other possible locations for doing business out of.
The closest thing to our business model is Del's Truck Rentals ( 50 miles north of us. Handy Andy ( out of Seattle also rents similar gear to us. Our customers like our trucks in part more because we have higher sides than the competitors. Ours sides are typically 4' high and our competitors have construction dump bed trucks in which the sides are only 18" high.
Growth & Expansion:
Our business has tons of growth and expansion possibilities. Our business is so strong we barely do any advertising. To slow business down we have actually removed most magnetic signs from trucks. We also toyed with the idea of an east coast location (such as in Orlando, Fla) because of some favorable preliminary analysis. The east coast is attractive because FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Administration) has discussed with us about becoming a vendor to provide our type equipment to disaster zones such as in hurricane, fire and flood zones.
Financing available at 18%
Support & Training:
We are fully committed to provide all support and training necessary. The owner fully believes in this business and doesn't have to leave, and in fact is more than willing to cooperate in a joint venture of sorts if desired.
Reason for Selling:
Partnership split (now final) was devastating to cash flow.
