Linehaul contractors transport FedEx Ground owned trailers over the road between FedEx Ground terminals, hubs, and sometimes customer locations. As an owner of a FedEx Ground contracted entity you are not required to be a driver or even hold a CDL. You may appoint a Business Contact as the touch point for day-to-day operational activities. Contractors are paid weekly (no accounts receivable) resulting in a very stable cash flow.

FedEx Ground contractors bear all responsibilities for:

• Trucks: Expenses related to fuel, truck insurance, and other related truck expenses as well as maintaining safe and reliable contractor owned/leased trucks.
• Employer-related expenses: Expenses including recruiting, wages, salaries, benefits, employment taxes, unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation coverage, and any others mandated by local, state/provincial and federal governments.
• Entity Compliance: Maintaining payroll and employment records, and complying with all applicable local, state and federal laws, including legally authorized to work in the U.S
• Training their personnel and drivers
• ...and any other costs of managing a business, employees, and trucks
