2-Seater Motion Simulator Business - Build & Sell, Lease or Operate

If you are looking for a real world business that produces large lump sum sales and also the potential to generate on-going, residual cash income you may find this listing of particular interest.

This is an exciting business opportunity that has proven highly successful in numerous locations throughout Europe, Russia and the Middle East.

Due to retirement of the company owners, FX Simulation is offering the rights to manufacture, sell and operate their coin-operated motion simulators. These offer a fully immersive experience of audio, video and motion with a choice of up to 8 different rides.

Constant product development over the past 18 years has ensured that the FX Simulation simulators have remained at the forefront of ride-on, coin-op, equipment. Their machines have operated in a variety of high profile venues such as:

• The Trocadero, Piccadilly Circus, London
• The Science Museum, London
• Magic Planet, Dubai
• Centre Parcs (Belgium & France)
• Heron City (Stockholm & Valencia)

So far FX Simulation has sold 151 of these machines at prices of £40,000 and upwards (approx. $51,000), making them the most successful manufacturer and operator of coin-op simulators in Europe. Build cost in the UK is currently just under half this figure ($25,184 at today's rates).
In terms of operating revenue, one of these 2-seater simulators will generate an average of £2000 / month in an average venue, with higher footfall sites seeing takings of £3000/month ($3,800) and more.

Corporate branding is also a huge opportunity for these machines (particularly with full vinyl wraps becoming quick and affordable). Indeed corporate branding maybe one of your most lucrative opportunities as these machines make a huge impact at exhibitions and trade shows. This could be a lease agreement where additional revenue can be had for transportation, setup and maintenance.

Through years of experience and ongoing consultation with existing clients it’s become clear our simulators out sold and out lasted our competitors because of these specific reasons:
Contrary to popular belief, our 2-seater simulators will generally bring higher revenues than larger, more expensive multi-seat machines because:

• they don’t require an operator
• they offer a quicker rider turnaround
• they’re easier and less expensive to maintain
• they can be transported on a regular trailer and towed by a car or pickup
• they are only 59 inches or 1500mm wide so will fit through the double doors of most venues

There are 2 distinct parts to the business being sold:
1. Manufacture and sell (or Shares, for us in Europe the normal is 60% to us and 40% to the site) the U2 simulator or its successor, the X2
2. Operate these machines yourself and collect an ongoing income

You will also receive a proprietary sales formula which has enabled FX Simulation to sell their equipment to some of the biggest family entertainment companies in Europe and have the answers to every question you will ever be asked. You can choose to sell the machines outright, lease them, or operate them yourself on a revenue-share basis with the site.

To give an idea of the basic requirements to manufacture one of these machines you would require:
• A workshop area of at least 300 sqft or larger
• A range of mechanical and electronic tools similar to that required to service a modern car
• A 3-phase power supply

• Basic electrical, electronic and mechanical knowledge
Additional skills and equipment (either in-house or subcontracted locally):
• Commercial size MIG welder
• Metal cutting & machining facilities (milling machine, lathe etc)
or subcontracted locally
• Spraybooth (or vinyl wrapping)
• Upholsterer
• Hydraulic fitter
• Fibreglass spray or hand lamination

Once trained, you could expect a team of 2 semi-skilled technicians to assemble a simulator in 1 -

Detailed Information

As a buyer of this business you would receive the moulds to produce the fibreglass bodywork, full schematics of all electrical and electronic control systems plus fully detailed build instructions. A selection of refurbished U2 and X2 simulators are available (under separate negotiation) to all buyers, allowing you to operate a machine from day one. This has the dual benefit of increasing your knowledge of the equipment while at the same time helping to cover your operational / setup costs.
Support & Training:
As part of the package, you would also receive up to 21 days support in your own country from 2 skilled members of the FX team also the owner who will assist you in the set-up of your manufacturing facility and parts sourcing (you can choose to use our existing suppliers or source your own components locally).
