Experienced in all phases of the business brokerage industry, including the ever-critical financing sector.
The Natural Food Center (NFC) has operated continuously for more than 40 years in Abilene, Texas under three ownership groups: Horace & June Cooke from the early 1970s until 2005; CELMO, Inc. from 2005 to 2009 when one of the owner principals was transferred by the military to Germany and; FAMLO LLP Partners Dr. Cindi Love & Sue Jennings from August 2009 to present. Seeing the potential for local and regional growth and franchise opportunities for the restaurant/catering segment, FAMLO Partners created a five year strategic plan, invested deeply financially and in time on premise. As a result, gross revenues almost doubled from $437,488 to $830,858 in 2012 (4th year of the 5 year plan). Early in 2014, the owners determined that the vitamin/supplement/grocery/gift departments needed to be separated from the restaurant and relocated next door to the cafe & catering operations. This makes it possible for the certified herbalist, Tom Resz and the personal trainer, Justin Dugger, to focus on the needs of customers without the interruptions that naturally occur during the lunch hour at the Center.
The sale and/or lease purchase of the cafe and catering operations include all furniture, fixtures, equipment, operating manuals, store management software and registers, restaurant food inventory, branding kit, name, customer lists and good will.
The current staff is well trained and very capable. The Chef de Cuisine has been employed by The Center 3+ years. The current owners will work with the buyers to encourage these employees to remain with the operation or assist in their transition as desired. The sales price is $65,000. The sale is "as is" and priced for closing on or before March 1, 2014 when one of the owners begins duties in Washington, DC. A lease/purchase agreement is also available for $25,000 down and $4500 per month for 12 months. The purchaser or lessor must be able to qualify for assumption of the premise lease at the Rose Park Shopping Center. The vitamin/supplement/grocery center is also for sale and/or lease for $12,000 down and $2500 per month. Furniture, fixtures, equipment and inventory are included.
