Many people ask if they have to bring their bike into my shop for a custom seat and the answer is no. On my website I have perfected a process for customers to send in their seat to be customized without having to come to the shop.
There is a huge opportunity for growth that I opened last year. Our biggest barrier to growth for 25 years has been seat pans. All motorcycles have unique seat pans in which we adhere our custom seats too. Because of this, we have to take the customer's existing seat pan, remove the stock seat and use the pan with our custom seat. In 2014 I sourced a mold maker overseas and produced a custom seat pan for one of our most popular motorcycles, the BMW GS Water Cooled bike. This has been a game changer.
