Work and play in Asheville, NC with Electro Bike Tours!
A very unique opportunity to own the only bike tour in the outdoor mecca of Asheville, NC. Well suited for an owner operator who would rather work independently, outdoors, and have fun, than be in the office. The operating season is March through November so you have the winter months off to travel or relax. Would work well for a retiree looking for an enjoyable company to own. The business model has extremely low overhead as we keep the bikes in a trailer in a storage unit and transport them to the meeting site for each tour. Cash flow does not include tips from each tour, which average $20 per 2 hour tour, but can exceed $50 for bigger groups.
I started this company from a dream of mine to work actively outdoors in 2012. The tour is a perfect 8 mile loop around Asheville and features historical and architectural highlights that serve as stops. We have 8 Kettler electric pedal assist bikes, which are the finest in the industry as they are made in Germany. There is a company pickup truck and enclosed trailer which are used to transport the bikes from the storage unit to the start of the tour, Weaver Park. Maintenance on the bikes is done at a local bike shop and we have never had any problems with the electrical components. We are an authorized dealer of Kettler E-Bikes, so there is a huge opportunity for growth in sales online that we have not pursued.
To build this business it has been a labor of love. I am not looking to make a profit on the sale. I want to pass the business on to someone who will be a great owner operator for Electro Bike Tours and continue to grow the company to its potential.
There is a business Facebook page that is updated with tour photos weekly and has 285 Likes from previous people on tour.
After two years we have 55 reviews on Tripadvisor. Only 5 reviews are 4 stars, every other review is 5 stars. I have never had a client finish the tour without raving about how amazing it is. Read the reviews to get an idea: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g60742-d2704614-Reviews-Electro_Bike_Tours-Asheville_North_Carolina.html
UNC-TV aired a 5 minute professional video segment on state television about Electro Bike Tours in April of 2014. You can view the clip here: http://video.unctv.org/video/2365229436/. This video is an instant badge of credibility that you could not buy if you wanted to.
Black Mountain, NC
Popular main street location in Black Mountain North Carolina, if you want to own a solid proven franchise and be a hands on operator this is a great opportunity, plus you get to live in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. The average start up for a franchise would cost you more than this established growing business. Operated very professionally the store is clean and the equipment is "like new" you really have to see this operation to appreciate it. Sales volume dictates that a hands on operator is needed, this is not an investment opportunity for absentee ownership, but if you like the service industry and want to become part of a wonderful growing community this might be right for you.

Quality kitchen wares, ranging from practical cookware to items for
the professional cook, fill the location. Cutlery, countertop
appliances, pots and pans, gadgets, bakeware, pottery, aprons and
