About Me I facilitate business sales, from valuation to marketing, buyer screening, negotiation, deal structure, escrow and closing. This includes Main street businesses under a million to M&A from 1 to 25 million. As a business broker/intermediary with Business Team/BTI Group, my past experiences come together to bring a well-rounded, successful business approach to my clients and their transactions. I am a California licensed real estate broker. I have kept up my education with real estate and have been working on transactions for years. There is no required continuing education for business brokers other than (in California) renewing our real estate license. A test geared primarily to residential real estate, with some commercial real estate. What do the business brokers you are considering using do to stay current? I am a Certified Business Broker; I regularly attend seminars and classes all over the US. I take extensive continuing education developed strictly for business brokers. I’m an active member of the California Association of Business Brokers (CABB). I’m a member of the CABB Forms Committee helping design the state’s standard for business brokerage forms, and a previous member of the CABB Technology Committee. I am also an active member of the International Business Broker Association (IBBA). My background: Owned and operated a successful start up for over ten years. Purchased, operated and sold a successful million-dollar business. My experience as a business owner allows me to relate with practical, first hand knowledge. I make the transition process run more smoothly. I’ve been through the sales process as an owner, so I understand the tough decisions you potentially face, and have the experience to communicate your options to you in a well thought out, concise way, giving you the ability to see all options clearly. Own and managed a multi-million dollar portfolio of residential and commercial units. Few deals get done without a lease regardless of whether you own the property or not. I understand the challenges a landlord faces. I can help both sides communicate and negotiate as well as save you valuable time and money. On-air personality and speaker at conventions in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Communication is key. I have found miscommunication and misinterpretation often to be what people refer to as the “landmines” in a deal. As an outside party I can bring clarity and if needed explanation to all parties.
