About Me

Leo Kirkman Leo Kirkman came to Atlanta in 1967 from North Carolina to attend Georgia State University. He completed training from LUTC and CLU in business life insurance and was a member of the President’s Club and Million Dollar Round Table during each of the 5 years he spent in that field. His focus for the next sixteen years was retail financial management with Porsche, Volvo, and Mercedes-Benz. Leo has been involved in the buying, selling, and brokering of businesses and related real estate for almost two decades. Having bought, managed, and sold several businesses of his own, he has hands-on experience about how the process works for both buyers and sellers. Licensed as a Real Estate Broker in Georgia, he is a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, Georgia Association of Business Brokers, International Business Brokers Association, Sandy Springs Business Association, and Rotary of Sandy Springs. Leo and his family have been active members of their synagogues for many years, where he and his wife have served on or chaired various committees and served on Boards of Trustees. Over the years his hobbies have included boating, adult league softball, snow skiing, scuba diving, and SCCA auto racing. Leo held a private pilot license and was an NCAA ice hockey referee for 15 years. Gloria J. Abrams, MBA, CPA A native Atlantan, Gloria received her BA in chemistry from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts and earned her MBA from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. During her second year at Emory, Gloria was a Teaching Assistant in the Executive MBA program. Gloria spent 3 years at KPMG, LLP, working in economic development, business relocations, and business tax credits. As a Senior Manager with Deloitte & Touche, LLP in Atlanta Corporate Tax, she worked with partners, managers, seniors, and staff to increase productivity and profitability for the practice while improving staff and senior job satisfaction. Her business experience includes serving as Vice President of Operations with an Atlanta based national wholesale chemical distribution company. After successfully negotiating the sale of that company on behalf of its owner, she joined Leo Kirkman to form Abrams Kirkman Associates, Inc. Gloria has combined her business knowledge and people skills to become a Life Transitions Coach. With 25 years of helping people in the volunteer and for-profit sectors, Gloria has made many successful transitions in her life, allowing her to relate to people through life experience and professional knowledge. She is a very creative strategist who can easily envision many different possibilities for each client’s situation. Gloria can see the whole picture and break it down into easy-to-follow steps. She brings her passion for helping others to bear as she coaches sellers and buyers through the transition of selling or acquiring a company, working for example with sellers as they move on to their next career opportunities. Gloria is a member of AICPA, Georgia Society of CPAs, American Society for Training and Development, and the International Coach Federation. She has served on her synagogue’s Board of Trustees and was President of its Sisterhood.
