Kip Petrykowski 704 942 4695 Kip Petrykowski is a 17+ year Engineering, R&D and Process Improvement (Lean Certified and a Six Sigma Black Belt - trained by lean masters at Toyota) executive within the automotive, utilities, and aerospace sectors. He has served as Program manager, Director of Engineering, Director of Operational Excellence, Plant Manager, and Partner/Managing Member of an IP licensing firm. He has also been a parts provider to the automotive industry through 15+ year rep arrangement with a large stamping house in Cleveland. While acting as a program manager he doubled international sales by interacting with customers in order to determine their purchasing and shipping cycles. Then coordinating with in house personal he ensured that the proper product mix was available at the appropriate times for those customers. As a partner in an IP development and licensing firm, Mr. Petrykowski has worked with Pysiscts at Dartmouth University and Japanese refrigeration maker Hoshizaki to develop de-icing technologies for Commercial refrigeration, Automotive, and the Utilities sectors. His responsibilities included cost/benefits analysis, risk analysis, gap analysis, and licensing fee negations with both Canadian Power and Telephone and various New York utilities. His experience in product launch, design and development, process improvement, employee development, international business development, mergers and acquisitions, and supply-chain development has been a major driver toward successfully developing and growing customers within the Utilities, Material Handling, OE Automotive and Powersports sectors. He is also credited with two US patents for brake caliper ( and hydraulic fitting design (# 2007/0182156 A1). While working for a tier 2 automotive parts manufacturer, Mr. Petrykowski was successful in launching new programs for Toyota, Honda, Ford, Porsche, Polaris, Honda R&D, and Allied signal. He and his team also developed product used by over 10 US and World Championship winning automotive racing teams. He was also an instrumental team member responsible for achieving QS9000 certification on the first audit and winning Allied signal’s Supplier of the year award. As a consultant to the stamping industry Mr. Petrykowski was responsible for developing accounts that would garner his customer a 3rd best supplier out of 300 achievement award for both on-time, quality of delivery, and reduced cost through process improvement. Most recently, Mr. Petrykowski has re-entered the aerospace community as a Business consultant engaged in developing engineering talent, ERP implementations, and lean/six sigma service and manufacturing initiatives. He has also been requested by a major aerospace repair customer to engage in supplier development and part sourcing. Mr. Petrykowski holds a BS of Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He is also a certified motorcycle technician who worked professionally for 5 years for shops servicing all major Japanese brands of equipment as well as all major European manufactures while attending college.
