About Me

I’ve led a varied life with lots of experience, surrounded by art, finance and business; collected & owned a lot of western art; been in business and cared for millions of dollars from the time I was seventeen years old. I’ve raised three daughters; have six grandchildren. My education was with Parson’s Of New York in fashion design; the Center Of Creative Studies in Photography and years of training and experience in Gourmet cooking with artists such as Giuliano Buggalli; Jacque Pepin; Joanne Weir; Julia Child and many more such artist chefs. I studied gourmet cooking in Italy as well. My husband, Larry and I owned a wholesale business, Deborah Breuner Malibu LLC together at the Merchandise Mart in Denver, Colorado for a number of years. He designed and built furniture; I designed and manufactured avant-garde haute couture fashions. We had many other artful pieces in our showroom such as photography and antique movie posters. T.O Stanley and his fine cowboy boots along with Rich Rand and his well-known hats were also visible in our showroom. Our involvement with our business led us to become members of The Academy Of Country Music Awards. During the early 90s I worked for Bavarian Village Ski Shop in Farmington Hills, Michigan selling ski wear over a three-year period. I’ve supervised the building; owned and decorated a number of multimillion dollar homes; two in mountain towns, such as Steamboat Springs, Co. and Sun Valley, Idaho; a number of remodeled older homes in Sacramento, California; supervised the building and decorating of two high end homes in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. I was raised in a five generational furniture business my great grandfather started in 1856, in Northern California, John Breuner Furniture Company, so art, design, business, creating and keeping a beautiful space is in my blood, which has always included food in one way or another, besides the fact that I truly enjoy it all aspects of this part of life both business wise and the beauty of it. I believe managing everyday responsibilities; greeting guests; preparing food; multi-tasking and arranging interesting entertainment or get-togethers for guests to be a natural skill I’ve honed over my lifetime. With this natural flair for entertaining and socializing I have done a lot of it over forty years. In Detroit I was a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and when my then husband, Rick was president of this organization I handled the entertainment for all YPO events involving hundreds of guests; sometimes in foreign countries; which entailed creating the invitations and having them printed; planning the food; preparing food; organizing committees; hiring and negotiating world renown entertainment; organized, arranged the flowers and decorating. What’s also essential about this membership experience, besides the social and entertainment opportunities, is the business education I received through the YPO Universities. I’ve also planned two very large weddings, using these same skills and done a lot of planning and organizing children’s events. I’m an avid sports lover; snow & water skiing are my favorites; I’m advanced as well in rollerblading; hiking; dance, ballet, jazz; tap and modern. I love Pilates; yoga and most all exercise. I’m a master in Reiki; studied metaphysics, American Indian history and beliefs, as well folklore extensively. I enjoy the arts; things like going to the ballet; musicals and plays. I appreciate, gourmet cooking, photography, paintings, antique movie posters, fashion design and business. More recently I’ve written and published a book that I would suggest important for the financial health of society, while my husband and I together have written a number of screenplays. One appears to being sought after by a producer. I’ve been a member of Fashion Group International in Detroit & Colorado. Additionally, both my husband Larry and I have had some very enlightening financial experiences, which we feel will be helpful in the financial management and care of funds involving BODACIOUS NACHOS.
