Boutique Wine, Spirits & Beer Store & Bar
Live in Hawaii, Drink Fine Wines, Be the Dream
Own a profitable business in the coolest, hip, and most progressive
beach town on Maui. Well, actually two businesses!
A Boutique Fine Wine, Spirits and Microbrews Store
and A Wine and Spirits Bar.
This is a rare opportunity to own two established businesses on Maui’s North Shore in Paia, recently named one of America’s best small towns.
These venues are located next door to one another and are being sold together. They are the only boutique wine and spirits venue with tasting opportunities on Maui’s North Shore.
Paia is a thriving small town that attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists each year. The local population of approximately 3,500 residents is loyal to their town and believes in “shopping local”. The retail store has been in Paia for 69 years- under 3 different owners with one name change and one change in location.
The wine/spirits bar opened in Oct 2013. The owners of the retail store recognized a need for a venue that focused on offering to clientele a tasting experience in order to decide what to purchase. This concept evolved into opening the wine/spirits venue. Presently, this intimate bar promises to become one of the have to stop by spots in Paia.

Popular Maui Cafe with Premium Vespa/Scooter Rentals
4-Year Cafe with Strong Revenue, Margins & Lots of Upside Potential
Live the dream... for the last 4 years, I have lived mine. I built my cafe based on my personal passions-- espresso and motors, and the result has been nothing short of fulfilling.
We pride ourselves in serving Maui's best coffee & espresso bar drinks. We source award-winning, locally grown Maui coffee beans that are custom roasted for us twice a week by a specialty, small batch roaster on the island.
In addition to coffee, we offer a simple, healthy, all-day appropriate food menu that includes tropical acai & fruit bowls, banana breads & pastries, bagels & open-faced sandwiches, egg plates and croissants, salads and superfood fruit & green smoothies. The menu focuses on simple-to-compose dishes that are both artful and delicious.
Now four years old, our cafe customers are approximately 60%+ local and 40% tourists. Locals, who work the town's shops and galleries, are quick to refer us for the best coffee in town and reasonable prices for breakfast/lunch/snacks. Tourists who find our cafe often become "locals for a week," making us their daily morning spot.
We sell bags of freshly, roasted Maui coffee under our own brand and custom packaging at the cafe, and customers can reorder with us via our website and/or join our monthly coffee club. In December 2015, we recently expanded our retail presence to include tshirts, hoodys and mugs under our own brand, and the initial results have been very favorable. We also have a small collection of coffee-brewing equipment (french presses, hario, etc.) and coffee-related merchandise (body scrubs, candles, etc.)
We co-locate a scooter & Vespa rental business, separately incorporated, in the outdoor perimeter of the cafe. We have 12 total scooters/Vespas for rent and offer half-day, full day and week-long rentals to island visitors. It's a nice incremental revenue stream (approx 20% of total revenue) that helps draw visitors to the cafe, especially when cruise ships are in town.
The combination of espresso bar and scooters gives the cafe a distinct Europe-meets-Maui vibe that is appreciated by locals and visitors alike... it's a place where everyone feels at home.
And it's been a pleasure, for sure, to run. We have well-established and well-documented operating practices for staff. I have been a hands-on owner but have traveled for weeks-at-a-time annually as well. We have used the Square point-of-sale system for the last 2.5 years, so operating performance and trends are well documented and easy to generate for regular management reporting.
Steady year-over-year financial growth. 2015 revenue 30%+ over 2014 with expanding margins. Low monthly fixed costs of operation (<$3,500 excluding labor.) Pay back your investment in less than 3 years.
"I'll take a double espresso and a Vespa to-go please!"... the dream could be yours next... on Maui, Hawaii!
Interested buyers should submit a completed Confidentiality Agreement (attached) and be prepared to show financial viability / proof of funds. Detailed operating, financial & tax records will be provided to serious buyers.
(BTW, that's really the cafe in the painting. We've been painted by multiple artists each year as part of the Maui Plein Arts painting competition and included in multiple Maui art gallery guides.)
This business is the only outdoor batting cage in Hawaii and the only place in Kihei that offers family activities in the evenings on Maui. This is a niche service, providing cages for people to practice hitting and a large variety of merchandise. Located almost completely outdoors, this spacious 10,000 sq. ft. facility is equipped with batting cages, pitching mound, dug out, a pool table and more.
There is something for every member of the family. The business was started in 2011 and has grown steadily since. Baseball and softball are played year-round, so there is no seasonality. It also only rains 3-5 days per year and everyone wants to be outdoors in Kihei, which means the business is always available for use. Customers are loyal and there is a high retention rate, especially among members of the different leagues.
The business serves approximately 200 customers per month. The business is currently located in a 10,000 square foot leased facility in a prime location, right off the only highway going through Kihei, Wailea, and Makena. Locals and tourists alike cannot miss the huge cages and fences, along with the excellent signage, right next to the highway.
There is virtually no competition and absolutely no direct competitors. The only competition is other merchants who sell similar merchandise, but the exceptional customer service and price match guarantee makes loyal customers coming back for more and telling everyone they know. An ideal buyer will have marketing skills and be eager to market and promote the business.
This is an established business, this is NOT a start-up opportunity.
