Franchise consulting is not sales! We do not cold call nor do we pressure others into hasty buying decisions. As consultants we qualify our clients, help them identify strong franchise opportunities and assist them through the franchise research process. When one of our clients purchases that franchise we are paid a handsome commission. ( Commissions for single unit franchise deals currently average about $15,000 per deal! )

If you have been researching the various franchise consulting business opportunities then you are probably aware there are several firms to choose from. The Franchise Select Group is not looking to be the biggest in the industry - just the best. Most firms will recruit anyone into their organization based on little more than their ability to write the check. At The Franchise Select Group we are interested in only those that we feel have the potential to be top producers in this industry and who will serve our clients and franchisors with honestly and integrity.

Our Franchisors
Many broker opportunities will represent most any franchisor that will pay a commission with little regard to the health, stability and growth of the business. Our experience has taught us that even the "long list" firms do deals with only a small fraction of the franchises they represent and that the most respected and productive firms in our industry often represent the fewest franchisors. Why? In many ways a broker is only as good as the franchises he or she suggests and recommending small brand, unstable opportunities is not what our clients need. In addition a good consultant really needs to know the brands they represent and few people will ever intimately know 250+ franchisors. Representing franchises based on quality not quantity earns respect from both our clients and our franchisors.

A Team Effort
While most brokers operate strictly as independent consultants, The Franchise Select Group takes more of a team approach to this business. We share ideas, we assist each other with webinars, marketing, franchise suggestions and more. We all offer very similar initial training curriculums but it's the ongoing training, support and team play that puts our consultants at the top time and again.

Lending Partnerships
Knowing that small business lending has been one of our industry's greatest challenges the past 2 years The Franchise Select Group has made a serious effort to create alliances with banks and other financial services to assist our clients in getting the funding they need to start their business. We have relationships with Fifth Third Bank, a national bank and a preferred SBA lender. In addition we have relationships with two of the industries largest 401k rollover services, Guidant Financial and BeneTrends. These relationships not only increase the number of deals we can do but offer additional revenue streams for our consultants.

More Tools and More Back Office Services = More Deals
The Franchise Select Group offers some of the most unique and robust back office tools and support of any firm in the industry. We own franchise portals, we have agreements with SBA lenders and 401k rollover services, we provide your web site, we host webinars for your candidates, we invoice for your deals and just about anything else we can do to help our team achieve success and become among the most respected in the industry. Just like most franchises, our success depends on the success of our consultants.

Our Training Schedule and Curriculum

Our initial training session is comprehensive and detailed and is just the first phase in learning to be a top producer in this industry. Our training sessions are conducted via webinar and teleconference so no travel is required. Most training sessions are conducted for 4 hours a day for 3 consecutive days and cover the following topics:

Upcoming Training Sessions:

  • July 27 - 29 from 12pm EST - 4pm EST each day.
  • August 3 - 5 from 12pm EST to 4pm EST each day.

Initial Investment and Commission Splits

The initial investment to join the The Franchise Select Group group is $9,995. This amount is paid before the start of training in the form of certified check our wire transfer.

Our commission splits are adjusted on a sliding scale. Our consultants receive 90% of all commissions for their first $100,000 in commissions in a fiscal year, 95% of all commissions for their second $100,000 in a fiscal year and 100% of all commissions for all commissions earned above $200,000 in a fiscal year. The The Franchise Select Group fiscal year runs from January 1 to December 31.
