What is the diamond tool industry? The multi-billion dollar diamond tool industry consists of special tools that contractors in the construction industry have to use. These tools are made with diamonds as their cutting surface. Diamonds are used because they are able to cut through hard materials such as granite, marble, and concrete. Some of the tools that are used are diamond blades, diamond core bits (to drill holes), diamond router bits and diamond polishing pads and cup wheels (to polish stone and concrete surfaces). AGR Tools also manufacturers adhesives, CNC tooling and customized tooling.
Is the diamond tool industry very profitable? Yes, very profitable. With its own manufacturing and mining facilities throughout the world, AGR is able to offer its dealers the highest quality diamond products at much lower costs than its competitors. AGR Stone and Tool currently owns approximately 40% of the European and Asia diamond tool markets. Due to contractual obligations, AGR has not been able to market its own products in the USA or Canada. Those contracts have since expired, which means the North American market will soon be dominated by AGR Stone and Tools. What is an AGR “Stocking Dealer”? Our dealers own and stock their inventory and have exclusive marketing rights to a protected territory. There are no franchise fees or any other fees that must be paid to the corporate office. As a stocking dealer, you buy products from the manufacturer, sell to your customers and keep all the profits! Storage for inventory requires minimal space. For example, inventory can be stored in a small section of a garage or in a one bedroom area. As an AGR Dealer you own your own territory and represent the manufacturer - much like a car dealership. Dealers are responsible for daily route sales. A van or SUV is recommended as you or your sales representatives visit your customers’ shops in order to obtain their business and deliver products.
What about competitors? In the diamond tool industry many of your competitors will be the catalog companies that sell several different brands of tools. Although it would be a benefit to have some construction or fabrication background, it is not necessary. Our dealers come from a variety of backgrounds including: corporate managers, sales representatives, pharmaceutical account managers, graphic artists and real estate professionals. The hands-on training program will insure that you become a diamond tool expert quickly. AGR Stone and Tools’ success is dependent on the dealers becoming successful.
How much does it cost to become an AGR Dealer? AGR Dealerships start at $30,000 - depending on the size of the territory. Again, there is no franchise or other recurring fees. The cost of the dealership is the inventory that you would be selling. However, there are the basic start-up costs that you would be responsible for that all businesses incur.
