Your Job as a Discovery Map Franchisee
As a Discovery Map franchise owner, your role is to build relationships with local merchants who depend on revenue from visitor spending. You have the exciting opportunity to enable local businesses to capture a greater share of visitor spending by showcasing them on your hand-illustrated, customized map and interactive WebMap™. Later, you can leverage your existing relationships by adding products like the hotel guest directory, without paying an additional franchise fee!
No previous publishing experience is required, but previous business-to-business sales experience is necessary. Classroom and field training are provided along with ongoing operational support. Discovery Map looks for candidates who are friendly, outgoing, are results oriented, and understand the importance of meeting key deadlines.
How Do You Make Money?
Our business model is very simple and has few moving parts. Your profit is the difference between your gross sales (ad revenue) and your cost of goods (maps and hotel guest directories), less your other business operating expenses. Unlike most franchises, we do not collect ongoing royalties.
