The principal owns the franchise rights to both restaurants. One location began in 2002 and the other in 2006. The land and buildings at both locations are owned by the Company. The Company competes on strong brand awareness, high-quality service, a wide menu offering, and outstanding locations. Although much of the customer base is derived from tourism traffic, the owner has successfully developed a solid base of business with a 25% repeat customer rate. The Company offers the complete range of menu items of a family restaurant. Food sales represented 84% of total sales in 2012 from the two combined restaurants. Beverage and dessert sales contributed 14% and 2%, respectively. The Company spends virtually nothing on advertising and marketing; rather it relies strictly on the benefits it derives indirectly from Denny s/franchisor advertising conducted on a regional and/or national basis. This advertising is funded by its royalty obligations to the franchisor. Sales and Earnings Growth: In fiscal 2012, the Company experienced a 6% and 132% increase in sales and EBITDA, respectively, versus 2011. Furthermore, the Company is estimated to increase sales in 2013 by 9.6% and EBITDA by 42% vs. 2012. Exceptional Locations: Both company sites reside on or near very desirable locations to the high-traffic US Highway 27 corridor in central Florida.
