This store has been beautifully branded and has an excellent reputation with our local clientele, our surrounding Southern states, and our Snowbird visitors. Our customers continue to shop with us when they return home through our website, where they can find the unique items not readily-available in their towns. In addition, their gifts have a special quality since they come from a lovely boutique located on one of the most gorgeous strips of beaches in the country. The new web store has been designed with Destin in mind, recreating the experience of the boutique and our beautiful beaches.
The market for the store is primarily women aged 25 – 80. Women of all ages shop here to purchase baby gifts, special occasion clothing, "Coming-Home" from the hospital outfits, First Birthday ensembles and gifts, portrait clothing, holiday-wear, beach photo dresses and fun accessories, such as one of a kind hair bows and jewelry.
We are THE PREMIER boutique for the important events in a child's life. After 12 years of business, we have customers whose children or grandchildren have grown up with us. This is a destination shop that has created memories for so many families - this is a quality that can not simply can not be duplicated.
Front door parking allows for easy in and out access for busy mothers and grandmothers. Located in a highly-visible shopping center, anchored by Publix, Pier One Imports and Men's Wearhouse, Old Navy and Bed, Bath and Beyond, this store has an excellent location. Right next door to a new, trendy, high-end gastropub/wine shop/deli, our store gains new customers constantly. This year the gross income of the store grew 21% with all indicators pointing to increasing growth. The average ticket price is $70.
As a boutique, our buyers look for a “boutique” experience, and are not shopping based on price alone. Excellent customer service and an eye-pleasing, soothing atmosphere allows us to maintain a higher price point. Significant competition exists in the children's market, but this store has consistently proven to draw buyers of all demographics, due to the cache' of giving a gift or buying their own children's clothing from this store.
Our packaging has been consistent for 12 years, is a highly recognizable, established, BRANDED gift bag, and the recipient always knows where the gift was purchased.
We have significantly increased our technology with the purchase of a new computer system, completely up-graded Quickbooks Point of Sale and Financial Program, plus the design and purchase of a beautiful, new webstore that is linked to our Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. We have also started a texting program, which alerts our customers, via text, of special store events and discounts. We have recently up-graded our gift certificates to actual gift cards, personalized, further solidifying the brand. We have also added a video surveillance system, accessible from any smartphone or computer, for the convenience and peace of mind of the owner.
