This nursery has been in operation for nearly 25 years. Over the last 5 years it has undergone new ownership on two occasions. In 2015 the current owners took the property over and decided to rebrand the business and make investments into creating a “Lifestyle and Garden Shoppe” instead of a simple plant nursery. The unique location that is not matched to any other property in a 50 miles radius offer mature grounds, a 4 dynamic aged pepper tree, a dry stream running through the property and nearly 1000 feet of groomed pathway for customer to enjoy. We had an exciting holiday season with free Santa Claus visits twice a week the entire month of December and finalized the season with an open house where nearly 400 people showed up to enjoy many different festivities that we offered. We have taken the direction of not only providing quality plants with unique selection but garden décor that includes things like wind chimes, kinetic wind spinners, bird feeders, solar décor items, fountains, statuary, furniture and much more. We’re fortunate to also have an indoor retail space that displays more décor items and adds jewelry, candles, lotions and teas. We’ve made substantial plans for this spring. We expect to continue our education series and further expand the topics. We’re also in negotiation with hosting a fundraiser with the largest non-profit in the area. We’ve partnered with multiple local clubs, groups and educators to host their own events on the property. This winter we’ve redesigned our front greenhouse to offer evening classes and also the opportunity to have classes during any undesirable weather. We currently employ a nursery manager that has been in the industry for over 15 years. We also have a part-time maintenance person and employ a “Lifestyle and Garden Coordinator”. Ric is a registered Landscape Architect and Horticulturist. He manages our classes and is available on the weekends for the expert advice our customers have grown accustom to. The changes we’ve made this past year will offer an extremely successful spring and summer. Because of the stagnant nature of this nursery the past 5 years it took the last 12 months to simply rebrand and remarket the property.
