Established Film Festival & Website -- Motion Picture & Entertainment
Profitable with much greater profit potential.
Huntington Beach, CA
The SoCal Film Festival in Huntington Beach was established in 2005 and is now in its 11th year as a competitive movie and screenplay competition.
Buy the brand. It has an established and reputable name, ongoing revenue, zero debts, relationships with the industry and the audience, and enormous growth potential.
I have always operated it very part-time and been profitable each year. A true sales-minded owner and promoter should be able to dramatically increase sales through sponsorships as well as attendance and festival entries.
The festival has a regular flow of entrants, one of the most difficult tasks for a festival to develop. It has a distinguished list of patrons who screen movies from educational institutions across the country such as USC and NYU. It has relationships with the local colleges.
WHY AM I SELLING? The truth is that I am a movie lover, not a sales person. I started the festival to share my love for movies and to bring them to a movie watching audience. While I have had some success with sponsorships, there are so many untapped resources that I have not had the time to delve into. This has been a part-time business, but a full-time passion. The festival needs someone who can dedicate the efforts that would help bring the event to a much higher level of success.
This is an international film festival celebrating the art and culture of film. It has previously been named as one of Movie Maker Magazine’s Top 25 Festival’s Worth the Entry Fee.

WHAT IT NEEDS: With a dedicated sales person, the festival could grow exponentially. People love the thought of the festival, but the event needs a closer. Even so, I have successfully negotiated sponsorships with Acura, Honda, Time Warner, the SoCal Gas Company and others.
