I take a different approach than most brokers because this is not about me. This is about you. My 1st step isn't having you sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), it's listening and asking questions to understand and help you clarify why you want to own a business in the first place or whether or not you do.
By helping you begin with the end in mind, we can be sure that we will actually be helping, and not hurting, as you pursue finding new investment and/or career options in business ownership. Once we are on the same page about what your goals are then we can help you identify business models that will help you achieve those unique goals.
Most of my clients start out assuming that everyone wants the same thing, but every client I help actually has very different objectives they are trying to achieve. Some want to be the owner of a portfolio of small businesses. Some want to be highly involved day to day. Some love sales and the way it feels to close a big deal. Some want their customers to come to them. Some want to start a business to involve their spouse or children. Some want to work by themselves from a home-office.
It's my job to ask questions and listen as you describe why you are even thinking about owning a business in the first place.
To tell you a little bit about me: My passion is to help individuals realize their dream of business ownership. Many clients come to me during their job search, seeking alternatives to the average 9–5 grind. Through in-depth analysis of their interests using proven assessments (such as DISC), combined with business coaching, we find options that will work for them and their career goals. I also partner with investors who are looking for a way to grow their money through a business franchise opportunity.
When I’m not fueling my clients’ dreams, you can find me spending time with my wife and three young children. I am at home in the mountains hiking, biking, and snow skiing. I am also active in my church and feel that many of my clients are truly pursuing their calling through business ownership.
Fun fact: I live in downtown Phoenix and have chosen not to own a car. Instead, I rely on my bike, public transportation, or Uber to get around town.
