Rick has over 40 years of experience in technology, finance and operations in both private and publicly held businesses and has held senior management positions in the real estate industry, financial services and the medical sector.

As a successful entrepreneur Rick has started up, operated and sold several businesses. He has contributed to the success of businesses such as a commercial real estate development partnership, real estate title companies, a bank consulting practice and medical billing service. Rick continues to own a real estate related professional services company.

Rick has solid experience in contract negotiations, developing written bids & proposals and establishing productive relationships with new and existing clientele. Rick’s broad business background along with his skill in evaluating business data and profit & loss statements gives him the ability to determine a realistic business price and marketability while also assessing buyer needs.

Barry is a native of Brownsville and comes to BizAlliance Advisors as a partner with more than 40 years of varied business experience.

Barry attended both Texas Southmost College and the University of Texas at Austin before beginning his working career at Batsell’s Sporting Goods. After six years at Batsell’s, three as the manager; Barry formed the partnership Sunbelt Hunting and Travel and began work in the fishing and hunting guide business in Mexico. Over the years Sunbelt grew to a total of four hunting/fishing lodges in the state of Tamaulipas with a seasonal range of employees between 200 and 500. In 2005, Barry sold his ownership in Sunbelt Hunting and Travel and formed Sunbelt Outdoors Inc. an exclusive booking agent for hunting and fishing expeditions worldwide.

During the years Barry managed Sunbelt Hunting and Travel he also formed Gateway Services, a partnership with a Mexican citizen to manufacture medical fabric products in San Fernando, Tamaulipas, Mexico. At its height Gateway performed contract manufacturing for several American businesses and had over 450 employees. Unfortunately, Gateway was forced to cease operations due to the escalating drug cartel violence in the region.

Barry then became a real estate developer in Port Mansfield, Texas where he created two subdivisions and built numerous houses and a condominium project as the general contractor.

In 2007, Barry became a licensed Texas real estate agent working for Coastal Realty in Brownsville. Since then Barry has successfully listed and sold numerous commercial properties across the Rio Grande Valley and has become a specialist in South Texas ranch properties.

Barry’s background of successful business ventures and broad management experience provides him with a unique set of skills as a business broker whether the transaction is a smaller mom & pop business, a much larger manufacturing operation or anything in between.

Eduardo has 30 years of manufacturing management experience, including over 20 years of executive management positions at Fortune 1000 companies involved in automotive component manufacturing. During his early career in the automotive industry, Eduardo studied Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma under direct training of the Kaizen Institute. He served as internal consultant in Lean implementations at General Motors and many automotive component suppliers. Projects involved manufacturing as well as business process implementations where streamlined operations commonly resulted in productivity improvements or cost savings of 40%. He has participated in due diligence teams during the acquisition of publicly traded companies.

As plant manager, he had full responsibility for a maquiladora operation that supplied 30 automotive assembly plants and operated three shifts with 2500 employees and a 40M operations budget.

He was two-term president of the Asociacion de Maquiladoras de Matamoros from 2004-2005. The association included 65 maquiladoras and over 45,000 employees from various industries. The association negotiated labor contracts with the unions on behalf of all members. As president Eduardo worked with Mexican government entities negotiating on behalf of, and lobbying for, the member interests.

Most recently, Eduardo has acquired two small businesses and started a third involving manufacturing of building components.

Eduardo holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and advanced degrees in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University.
