W. Terence Welsh

Mr. Welsh has been involved in merger and acquisition activity, property taxation, accounting, consultation and appraisal work since 1973. Terry began his career with American Appraisal Associates and later became a principal with Arthur Andersen & Co. in California. Prior to starting his own firm with Mr. Breidenbach, he had been a partner with Ernst & Young, an international public accounting firm. Mr. Welsh brings a wealth of experience to the BTI Group in representing private business owners in the Seattle area.
In addition to the growth and management of his brokerage practice, Terry has presented accounting, valuation and taxation seminars for the American Management Associations, American Society of Appraisers, National Association of Accountants, Oregon Department of Revenue, Association of School Business Officials, various state AICPA groups and others. He previously was a member in the Institute for Professionals in Taxation and chaired various committees including the Personal Property Audit Committee. Terry was an instructor for the Institute for Professionals in Taxation's Property Tax School for ten years and was the Committee Chair and an instructor for the Advanced Property Tax School for five years.
Mr. Welsh received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance/Accounting from Marquette University and performed graduate studies at the University of Southern California. He was a Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (CMI designation) for eighteen years.
