Welcome to The Letson Agency where our mission is to pursue the Ideal Transaction.
By "Ideal", we mean those transactions where the seller receives full price based on the true value of the business. The buyer is willing to pay full price because, in the Ideal Transaction, the buyer has a clear vision of how the business can be taken to a higher level. Thus, the buyer is buying growth.
We believe that this approach creates satisfied sellers and buyers in the short term and, more importantly, repeat customers in the long term. The Letson Agency is, therefore, about creating relationships with buyers and sellers that extend beyond any given transaction. If we are successful helping a buyer purchase a business and they successfully grow that business, then when it comes time to sell, the choice of broker is obvious. If we are successful in getting a seller full value and if that seller decides to buy another business, again the choice of broker is obvious. For us, that would be ideal.
Background:
Bren Letson is the founder of The Letson Agency. Before affiliating himself with VR, he spent 20 years as Technical Director with Northrup Grumman where his leadership and interpersonal skills were successfully utilized to direct multi-million dollar systems integration projects. Prior to that, he founded, built and sold two software services firms. He is a graduate of Georgia State University, with a BA in mathematics and economics.
Frank Rickey was the owner of an upscale Fine Pen, Stationary, and Gift store in Nashville. During those 13 years, the annual sales volume of the store tripled from $256,000 to $750,000. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Marketing for several large consumer firms with responsibilities in new product development and introduction, strategic planning, and sales force consolidation. He is a graduate of the School of Journalism, University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Journalism.
