GEORGE E. COLGATE Graduate of University of So.Fla. in Tampa, B.A. in Business Administration. Worked 12 years in sales and marketing management with I.T.T. Continental Baking Company. Since 1981, has been President and Owner of Colgate & Associates, Inc. dba VR Business Brokers. Involved in over 700 business sales and acquisitions. (VRBB is the largest business brokerage firm in the Mid-South.) Colgate & Associates, Inc. has been a leader nationally and a top producer. Has done numerous business evaluations for companies. Former President of the VR National Franchisees Association. Have also been on the National Council of Mergers and Acquisitions for VR Corporate. Past President and Charter Member of Cordova Kiwanis Club. Present board member of the E.Mph. Rotary Club. Conducted seminars throughout the nation for the VR system. ROBERT J HARPER
Robert (Bob) Harper graduated in 1963 from U of M with a BS. After graduation he spent 18 years with Dobbs Houses and worked in construction and director of purchasing as well as director of real estate for 550 properties owned by Dobbs Houses. He has been with VRBB for 20+ years. Prior to VR, he was with a commercial real estate broker for two years in business brokerage and commercial/industrial real estate. He obtained a TN real estate affiliate broker's license in 1980 and a TN real estate broker's license in 1983. Bob has been a multiple national and local award winner.
MICHAEL CURRICA
Michael Currica joined VRBB in May, 1991.Michael is a native of Guyana, So. America. There, he worked for the Government of Guyana in The Ministry of Culture, as the Assistant Director of Ethnic Research - Ethnology. This allowed him to travel extensively - throughout the Caribbean, West Africa and Europe - and also tours of duty under the auspices of UNESCO, the cultural arm of The UN, based in Paris, France. Because of his extensive background Michael is our foreign expert and enjoys working with new Americans. Also by chance Michael is our convenience store man having sold well over 60 and our in house Liquor store professional having helped in 20+ acquisitions.
WILLIAM C STEFFENS
William C. Steffens has been with the company for 6 years. Bill is a licensed Real Estate Agent for the State of Tennessee. He has won several awards from VR Corporate and has been top listing agent 12 times and top selling agent 5 times. He has owned several businesses in the service industries as well as construction. He was in the insurance industry as a broker for Sedgwick PLC. He was educated in the northeast and attended college at the University of Missouri at St. Louise.
DAVID FINEGOLD
David Finegold is from New Orleans, LA, where he was a real estate broker for over 25 years developing commercial parking lots and promoting new home subdivisions working with builders. He was the Sales Manager for the creation of a new subdivision called Terrytown in New Orleans with the sale of 500 homes the first month. He as also has been a real estate broker in California where he specialized in commercial real estate leasing the first campaign headquarters in Los Angeles to Ronald Reagan. He has been associated with VRBB in Mph. TN for a number of years and holds a real estate brokers license in Tennessee and New York State. ROYALE J. JOHNSON
Royale Johnson served in Naval Intelligence. After naval service, he was Public Relations Specialist for the Honorable Maxine Waters, Congresswoman from LA. Royale graduated from UCLA. He was director of special employment programs for the city of Inglewood, CA. Royale was Editorial Page Editor for the Los Angeles Sentinel. He has operated a 300-seat dinner and jazz nightclub on famous Beale Street. Royale came to VR after leaving station KFTH as program director. His key to success in VR is to establish a working rapport with every Buyer or Seller, regardless how difficult, and practice this method "Never talk while listening."
TOM C GATTAS
Tom Gattas joined VRBB 5 years ago. He has received the VR Sales Associates office award for top listing and sales for two consecutive years. Past experience includes being president of a large retail chain. Currently holds an affiliate real estate license for TN. He has been involved in over 100 transactions. Currently he is on the Presidents Circle at Christian Brothers University and is a graduate of Rhodes College in Mph.
