Combined with over 20 years of training and experience in appraising businesses, identifying buyers and sellers and negotiating transactions on behalf of his clients, Bob has earned a national reputation as an accomplished advocate.
Bob is a former Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of VR Business Brokers, Inc. He was the founder of the Business Brokerage Division and the Commercial Real Estate Manager of Vernon A. Martin, Inc. one of Massachusetts largest family owned Real Estate Firms.
During his career, Bob has sold businesses ranging from Soft Serve [ice cream] to Software (several). His accomplishments include selling privately owned businesses to publically traded companies.
Bob believes "the strategic value of a privately held business can be overlooked when using financial performance as the only indicator of value. I look for value in human resources, local and regional market dominance and value added services. This "search for value" philosophy generates higher selling prices for my clients than might be anticipated by others.
During his 25+ year career, Bob has saved business buyers a great deal of money and after closing turmoil, aggravation and legal expense by reviewing and modifying deals of his Business Buyer Clients before they are completed containing costly business buying errors.
Bob is an Independent Business Appraiser and has acted as an Expert Witness for Business Valuation Litigation.
