About the Founder
SVI's founder, John Barnard, is a manager, consultant and business owner by training and experience. He gained early experience serving as an executive at a Fortune 500 electronics manufacturer. He has owned and sold two Massachusetts companies. He has served as a consultant to the SBA and Department of Commerce providing technical, managerial and fund raising services. He has taught as a visiting instructor in Northeastern University's MBA program.
Mr. Barnard received an AB from Princeton University and his Masters from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
