He is a licensed real estate broker for the state of Arkansas. Mr. Grimes has participated in the sale of over 125 businesses in his career as a professional business broker. He has handled transactions over $6 million and as small as under $10,000.00. Mr. Grimes was a successful businessman prior to beginning his career in business brokerage. He published an award winning newspaper, built and operated a state of the art cable television system, owned a real estate firm, a retail catalog sales business and an abstract and title company. He successfully sold all his businesses and decided to enter the field of business brokerage. Mr. Grimes' areas of specialty include newspapers, magazines and other print businesses, the motorsports industry, abstract and title companies and the cable television industry. Mr. Grimes is married to his high school and college sweetheart, Kathy. They are both originally from eastern Arkansas. They have two adult sons, Casey and Connor. Mr. Grimes has been in business in Northwest Arkansas since 1984. He is a graduate of the inaugural class of Leadership Fayetteville, a program conducted by the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce. He has also served as a city councilman, school board member and president of a Chamber of Commerce.
